• The hire deposit is payable at the time of booking to reserve the item for your date. It is a non-refundable deposit of 50% of the hire fee.
  • The final balance is payable 4 weeks prior to the hire date.
  • We accept payment by bank transfer to our business account or by cheque made payable to “Pocketful of Dreams”.
  • If you do not pay the full balance prior to your hire period then we will not dispatch the goods to you and you will still be liable for the full amount due.
  • We do not accept cash on delivery or collection.


  • A refundable damage deposit of £150 for all hires up to £500 is due with the final balance. For orders over £500 we require a damage deposit equal to 20% of the total hire fee.
  • The damage deposit should be paid by cheque and sent to: Pocketful of Dreams, 35 Longworth Road, Billington, Lancashire. BB7 9TP. No items will be delivered until this has been received.
  • The damage deposit cheque will be returned to you within one week of return of items, subject to no damage being incurred
  • Should items be damaged we will seek to repair or replace, where we can, charging a replacement/repair fee plus £20.00 handling charge. This will be taken from your damage deposit with the remainder refunded to you.
  • Should the damage deposit not cover the cost to repair or replace then we shall invoice you for the remainder of the cost, payable within 21 days.
  • Replacement costs are typically five times the listed hire price of each item.
  • Non-return of items will be charged at full replacement cost.


  • If you wish to cancel a booking you may do so up to 4 weeks prior to the hire date but you will not be entitled to a refund of your 50% deposit.
  • Cancellations made within the 4 weeks prior to your hire date will be liable for the full hire fee and will receive no refunds
  • Should your booking date change, we will try to accommodate your 
request and be as flexible as possible but this is solely down to availability of the item being hired. 


  • The hire period is for up to five days, to allow you plenty of time to
    receive your items, install at your venue and pack up again for return.
  • The hire period commences when items are signed for upon delivery.
  • Extra days may be available but will incur further charges.


  • Hire item(s) will be sent to you (at an address of your choice) by UK courier and securely packaged to ensure safe arrival with you
  • The cost of the courier will be quoted to you at the time of booking, should the costs increase at all this increase will be passed on directly to you
  • The customer is responsible for checking the delivery upon arrival to ensure there has been no damage in transit, if there has been then you need to notify Pocketful of Dreams immediately.
  • A return courier will be arranged on your behalf (from the address provided at the time of booking). All items should be re-packaged as you received them, using all protective materials provided.
  • You must ensure your availability for the courier. Should you fail to meet the courier at the specified time you will be liable for any further charges incurred.
  • Alternatively you can collect and return the item(s) from us by prior appointment.


  • All of our items are checked before and after every hire to ensure appropriate condition as well as undergoing regular maintenance.
  • We do everything we can to ensure the safety of our items, however many are handcrafted or vintage in nature and some wear and tear is to be expected
  • We cannot accept responsibility for injury to persons or damage to property caused by our hire items whilst the hire items are in your care.
